Confidence starts with a regular check-up
When you come for a check-up every six months we can spot any problems or decay early, before they cause a lot of damage.
We also make sure your gums are healthy, check the soft tissues of your mouth, and examine your jaw and facial muscles.
When you need treatment, we discuss the options with you and create a treatment plan, so you always know what needs to be done.
If desensitising toothpaste doesn’t help your sensitive teeth, we can by coating the sensitive areas with fluoride gels or varnishes to relieve the symptoms.
Depending on the restoration that needs to be done, we can provide amalgam, composite, ceramic and mercury-free metal fillings.
Crowns and bridgework
Crowns cover and support damaged, weak or discoloured teeth, and restore them to their normal shape and size.
Bridges fill the gap when teeth are missing. Essentially, a bridge is two crowns with a false tooth or teeth fixed between them. Teeth on either side of the gap are prepared as they would be to have a crown fitted, and then the bridge is made in the laboratory. It’s fitted permanently in place by your dentist, and can’t be removed like a denture.
1. Space left by missing tooth
2. Teeth are perpared
3. Bridge bonded into place
4. Natural look restored
Designed to blend with your natural teeth, crowns and bridges can last for 10 years or more.
Root canal treatments (Endodontics)
When the soft tissue inside a tooth – the pulp – becomes inflamed or infected (1), root canal treatment can save your tooth. The dentist removes the infected pulp, carefully cleans and shapes the inside of the canal (2), and fills and seals the space (3). The restoration is then covered and protected by a crown, and your tooth functions as usual (4).
Dental implants are a well-established, safe and reliable option for replacing missing or damaged teeth. An artificial root is placed in your jawbone and allowed to heal. This then supports a replacement crown that matches your natural teeth.
- Look, feel and function just like normal teeth
- Preserve your facial structure
- Take the pressure off surrounding healthy teeth
- Can be used to secure dentures and to carry bridges
- Improve your smile and your self-confidence
If implants are the right choice for you we will send you to one of the Specialist dentists we refer patients to for implant treatment.
